This is part 3 of our series on hair loss. (Catch up on Part 1 and Part 2).

As stylists, we can’t help you with medications or ordering blood work to evaluate hormone or mineral levels.

We can, however, stimulate your scalp and keep it nice and clear!

At DANESTYLES, we treat your scalp like an extension of your face because skin is skin. Our scalp treatment covers three essential bases:

1. Circulation
2. Exfoliation
3. Achieving optimal moisture and pH balance

We’ll do a scalp analysis so we can have a real conversation about your scalp condition, and it all happens in the privacy of one of our hair studios. We can tell if your scalp is stressed and needs some extra TLC, and we’ll give you an honest, personalized assessment during your appointment.

Why you need a scalp analysis

What you see isn’t always what is going on. Dandruff doesn’t mean you have a dry scalp, and pH imbalances are not treated the same as inflammation. Besides saving you money by not relying on products you may not need, a scalp analysis from a trained professional is a key step in not making the situation worse. You don’t want to apply harsh cleansers or overly-perfumed conditioners to inflamed skin!

During the analysis, we can also tell you if your scalp is tight or tense. Just like massage is used to release tension in muscles in your back or neck, we use scalp massage to loosen your scalp.  Why? A tight scalp is an unhappy scalp and keeping your scalp happy plays an important role in addressing thinning hair.

Scalp treatment is not one-size-fits-all

As we’ve covered before, there are many reasons behind thinning hair and hair loss. What happens during a scalp treatment appointment depends on the analysis. It may include stimulation with a high frequency wand, thorough exfoliation, extended massage, or simply a hair mask followed by a leave-in moisturizer.

Scalp Treatment appointments are on our service menu and we’re ready for you!
